These are the sub-genre's of the Drama category of films. Our film could fit in to several of these sub topics. Firstly addiction or alcohol due to the nature of the male character, it could also be a chick flick or romantic drama due to the underlying love story. As the story develops the characters face difficult decisions which affect their future, this could be considered as the come-of-age genre. Both characters are under 20 it could also be included in the 'teen film' genre. And finally due to the female characters cancer it could also be included in the disease and disability category.
